My husband and I are a young (23) couple with no children; our school-aged niece and nephew are coming to Fredericton to stay with us over March break and we are at a loss as to what to do with two kids. Do any Moms have any advice on activities there are around Fredericton? Letting them watch tv all day is not an option and we need to make some plans for them!

I am interested in knowing how single mother nurses are finding childcare for their under twos???? I have no family and live in a rural area so child care is difficult on a good day, but now I have to add in the evening and night shifts.... child care is impossible! I need to go back to work, but can't find childcare, what are you girls doing?

I'd like to get some opinions on a situation I recently encountered at my childcare provider. I picked up my son one day, and he was wearing girl's clothes. I don't really have a problem with him playing dress up, and it was kind of cute, however my husband was concerned that his original clothing was removed. My son is not even 2, so of course his pants are removed for diaper changes and his clothes are changed if he gets dirty. My question is, should I say something to my childcare provider about this? I wasn't too concerned at first, thought it was just a good bit of fun, but the more I discuss this with other people, I don't feel I am comfortable with his clothing being removed if not needed.

I ended up with an emergency C Section. Afterward I could not get out of bed without someone pushing me from behind. I was given strong painkillers which made me not care about the pain but I could still feel it. And now three months later, I am still aching and my stomach muscles are weaker than in my final week of pregnancy.
RECOVERY? How can I speed my recovery?
VBAC? My baby's head was 50th percentile. Should I just schedule a C Section next time?
I have a soon to be 2 year old daughter and am expecting another baby in the Spring. I am now done work and she is only going to daycare a couple of days a week. I was wondering if anyone knew of any play groups offered during the week that I could take her to.
